Weathertop
Well, another huge LOTR diorama for me. Stands about 18" from base to the tip of the ruin. Built the mountain out of foam, used the cool Hirst Arts ruined tower mold for the ruin, and GWs Attack on Weathertop boxed set for the figs |

The fight
Aragorn uses his torch to fend off the ringwraiths ... I think the GW guys did a great job sculpting Aragorn |

The battle
More shots of the battle w/ "mood lighting" ... btw, I found that the local Michael's has a lot of cool shrubbery and what-not that are more commonly used for flower arrangement. |

Architecture of the ruined tower
Now you can see some shots of the tower. Took about 8 hours to cast the blocks necessary to build this piece. Tried some new colors for painting the stone and I really like it ... |

After the building was dry, I used a paper towel to wet the stones and cut grooves so that the figs could be placed more seemlessly in the diorama |
